100 DAYS IN OFFICE: OGUNSOLA EMERGES MAN OF THE MATCH IN NOVELTY MATCH, HOSTS MARKET WOMEN

As part of the activities marking the 100 days in office of the present Administration in Obafemi Owode Local government, the management crew of the Council organised a Novelty football Match between the Political functionaries, Team A and the Career Staff, Team B.

The Novelty football match took place at Nawarudeen Primary School, Owode-Egba, whereby team (A) comprises the Political functionaries, captained by the Executive Chairman, Hon. Ambassador Sina Ogunsola; while team (B) comprises of selected Staff of the Council in both Area offices and the main Secretariat and captained by the Head of Local government Administration, Mr Fatai Ogundele.

Meanwhile, after a tensed 40 minutes play, Team ‘A’ which comprises of Political functionaries emerged the winner of the novelty football match with 4 goals to 1, whereby the Executive Chairman, Captain of his team was named “Man of the Match” with three goals registered to his name.

Ambassador Ogunsola, during the kick-off had earlier thanked the Almighty God for the success of 100 days of his led Administration in office, he also commended the Career staff as well, for peaceful working relationship in the past 100 days in office.

The novelty football match was graced by all and sundry, while the presentation of Trophy to the winner team ‘A’ was made by Hon. Sulaimon Mujaid Ajibola of Ajibola Progressive Foundation.

Some of the dignitaries present at the novelty match were, the vice-chairman, Hon.Titus Olusesi; Leader of the House of Legislative, Hon. Kayode Akinsola, all other Councillors and Political leaders within the Local government Area.

Others are, the Head of Local Government Administration, Mr Fatai Ogundele; Director, Water and Environmental Sanitation, Mrs Adeyemi; Director Information, Education and Sports, Prince Segun Soneye and other career officers.

The Executive Chairman, Ambassador Ogunsola also played host to the Market Women and reassured them of his administration possible gainful employment opportunities to the higher institution Graduate children of the Market Women.

Ambassador Ogunsola made this known in his office on Wednesday, when he received the Market women from the local government who came in their large numbers to felicitate with him on a familrisation visit as part of the activities marking 100 days in office at the Council’s Conference room.

Ambassador Ogunsola noted that his administration appreciated the contribution of the market women towards the development of the Council.

He therefore reiterated that his administration would only be able to perform itls duties with the support of the market women and he call on them to help his administration in having the required resources for the development of the local government Area, through their constant supports with remittance of market levies, trade permits and other levies to improve the Council’s Internally Generated Revenue, IGR.

He further noted that, by God’s Grace, he would leave a lasting impression in the hearts of the people of the local government, through Projects that would impact their lives, adding that, his administration would look into the Provision of boreholes, Toilet facilities and accessible roads network across Market places in the local government Area as requested.

Earlier, the Iya-Oloja of Obafemi Owode Local Government, Mrs. Keji Ogunleye, while appreciating the council boss for his passion for the Market women in Obafemi owode local government and its environs, commended the Chairman for his giant stride and also thanked him for attending to all  their requests in terms of job opportunities for their children that are graduates, improved Market condition and accessible road networks. She further pledged their continuous support to Ogunsola led administration.
