ADO ODO/OTA LG BEGINS IN-HOUSE TRAINING

In a bid to boost the performance of its employees positively, the local government of distinction began in house training of staffers of the council.
The Head of Local Government Administration, Dr Adebola Bamgbose while speaking on what necessitated the training, stated that a directive from the Ogun State Local Government Service Commission, urging all Local Governments in the State to begin in- house training for staffers of their various councils in order to improve the work output of its workforce, which actually prompted Ado Odo/Ota Local Government to kick start the training exercise.
Dr Adebola Bamgbose said that training like this, is an opportunity to instill the needed skills in employees and to expand the knowledge base of all employees.
He further stated that, an employee who receives training from time to time is in better position to improve his or her work productivity and will make them better prepared for future examinations and interviews for onward promotions .
The HOLGA added that, the training will come up twice in a month.
He also appreciated the mass turnout of members of staff and urged them to improve on it, so as to acquire more knowledge and to be the best in Ogun State and Nigeria as a whole.
During the training, Staffers were tutored on Staff Regulations by a seasoned administrator in person of Prince Oloruntoba Solomon Dada, FCIA, the Council’s Director of General Services and Administration, who took his time to lecture them extensively.
Questions were asked by the staffs at the end of the lecture and answers were given by the veteran lecturer.
The Apex Nurse of the Council, Matron Akinremi Rasheedat, who spoke on behalf of other staffers, appreciated the authority of Ogun State Local Government Service Commission and the management of Ado Odo Ota Local Government for the much needed training, which has broadened their knowledge.
