Ado-odo /Ota LG: HON MUSA APPLAUDS SHELL NIGERIA GAS

The Executive Chairman of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Adewale Musa (SAM20) has applauded the Shell Nigeria Gas for extending its Corporate Social Responsibilites to Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area through the road palliative measures linking Iyana-Iyesi to Itori Community and the provision of good water project for Itori Community.

The Council Boss stated this during his emergency visit to the site of gas pipeline leakage in Itori Community which was perpetrated by hoodlums.

He urged other companies to emulate the gesture made by the Shell Nigeria Gas as Government alone cannot shoulder all the responsibilities.
Speaking earlier, the External Relations Manager of Shell Nigeria Gas, Mr. Tunde Olaleke informed the Council Boss of the company’s intention to always assist the community through palliative measures on the damaged road from Iyana-Iyesi to Itori Community.

Hon. Sheriff Adewale Musa took part of his time in the area to visit the Local Government Primary School in Itori where he met with pupils and allayed any possible fear of Gas explosion from their minds. He told them that he came with the council’s Head of works and housing Engr. Oshiyale, Head of Information Mr. Alabi S.A. and the Shell representative to assess the situation of Gas leakage in Itori Community.

He further assured the pupils that the situation was under control and urged them to face their studies with utmost seriousness.
