The Executive Chairman of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Hon. Sheriff Adewale Musa, aka SAM 20, has charged all Corp Members serving in the Council Area to positively think out of the box in the cause of serving their fatherland, so as to be more productive and useful to the development of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Ogun State and Nigeria as a whole.

The Council Boss made this statement when he was declaring open a program themed Optimizing the NYSC/ CORPS Employers Partnership for National Development in the Context of the New Normal organised by the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Ado-Odo/Ota Zone, at the Council Secretariat.

He further stated that the core reason for the establishment of the NYSC Scheme was to integrate all Nigeria Citizen to be able to cohabit the Nation together after the Civil war.

Hon. Musa urged the Corp Members to make use of the trainings and exercises been given to them through various programs during and after their service year.

Earlier speaking the Zonal Inspector Mr. Eko Emmanuel stated that the workshop was to help create plans for Corp Members towards self reliance instead of waiting for white collar jobs. He also urged them to use the opportunity of the workshop to their own advantage.

The Zonal Inspector later introduced the guest speakers, Mrs. R. A. Somuyiwa took the Corp Members on a paper titled Improvement in Corps Members Welfare and Security for Optima Productivity while Mrs. Bolajoko Owolabi  delivered a paper titled ‘The Role of an Ideal Corps Employer as Catalyst for Effective Service Delivery’.

Present at the event with the Chairman were the Vice Chairman Hon. (Mrs) Saidat Olatunbosun Animashaun; Leader of the Legislative Council, Hon. (Mrs) Bukola Balogun; some Members of the Legislative Council and the Head of Education, Information and Sports Department, Mr Sheriff Alabi.
