ADO-ODO/OTA LG. PRIMARY HEALTH CENTRE CELEBRATES NEW YEAR IN STYLE

The Primary Health Care Department of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, recently celebrated the new year with prayers and gifts at the Council’s Health Facility in Ota.
The Head of Local Government Administration, Dr. Adebola Bamgbose appreciated all health facilities Staff within the Council Area for their brilliant attitude in the discharge of their duties and improving the health delivery to the Public positively.
He further urged the health workers not to relent on their oars at giving maximum health care delivery to the masses.
He also thanked the organizers of the event for a job well done and enjoined the public to always visit any health facility closer to them for medical check-up and care.
Earlier speaking, the Apex Nurse of the Primary Health Care Department, Mrs Akinremi R. A., informed the gathering of what necessitated the prayers and celebration of a new year which she attributed to the fact that the department as a whole performed wonderfully well during the past year.
She thanked the Almighty God for his protection at all times as they did not record any casualty during the discharge of their duties.
She expressed her appreciation to all Unit Heads of the department for their support and selfless services towards effective Health Care delivery.
The Internal Auditor of the Council, Mrs. B. Taiwo in her own speech, appreciated the Primary Health Care Department for improving on the Internally Generated Revenue of the Council and urged the staffers to put more effort in the discharge of their duties. She also stated that the human relations of the department has greatly improved.
The highlights of the event were the presentation of gifts to babies of the year who were drawn from all health facilities in the Council Area and deserving officers who performed excellently in the department.
In attendance along with the Head of Local Government Administration were Heads of Departments, health workers, Nursing mothers and other staffs of the Council Area.
