“I reflect on the honour of serving this great association as President over the past six months and the progress that has been made. I recognize the unflinching support of the most high God (without which nothing is possible), all members of this current executive, all our past global Presidents, most especially our immediate past global President, Yeye Otunba Adetola Hassan; our esteem elders, all members of our noble association and I wish to say a huge thank you for the journey so far” Ajibola said.
“We shall all not be tired of good works in the name of Jesus Christ. Merry Christmas everybody! One of the best parts of the holiday season is spending time with the special people in our lives. While celebrating this first Christmas in this capacity has been a true privilege.
She disclosed that, the association have been able to welcome a lot more old students of our great Alma Mater into active participation and it can only be better.
She therefore prayed that the benefits of the birth of Jesus Christ be accrued to all of members and their households.
“The greatest gift that my team and I will ever receive from you all has been the honor of serving as your Executives. We will continue to fight and moderate together, to make AGGS and AGGSOGA more respectable and coordinated” the global president added.
Mrs Elizabeth Ajibola stated further that, by so many measures, Aggsoga is becoming stronger and more prosperous than it was when first got started. “And I’m hopeful we’ll build on the progress we’ve made in the years to come”.
“As we join our fellow Christians around the world to rejoice in the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. And as we retell His story from that Holy Night, we’ll also need to remember His eternal message, one of boundless love, compassion and hope” global president said.
“We should never forget the idea that we are our sisters’ keepers; We should treat others as we would want to be treated. And as well care for the sick, the elderly, feed the hungry… and welcome the stranger… no matter where they come from, or how they practice their faith” Ajibola advised.
She explained that these are the values that help guide not just Christian faith, but that of Muslim families, nonbelievers and AGGSOGAS of all backgrounds.
“So as we look forward to the New Year, let’s resolve to recommit ourselves to the values we share. Let us all bear in mind that the job of leading this association is not by any measure easy.
“We therefore covet your prayers and goodwill, not spite nor condemnation. We need your encouragement and support knowing full well that whatsoever a man sows, the same he shall reap. I wish you and your families a happy and healthy 2023” the global president concluded.
