Ambassador Ogunsola Designates Portfolio for Newly Inaugurated Political Appointees

The Executive Chairman, Obafemi Owode Local Government, Ambassador Ogunsola Lanre Adesina, has charged the newly inaugurated Political appointees to be more diligent and committed in their service delivery to the people and should see their appointment as a good Ambassador of the nation

The Chairman gave the charge in his office on Monday,  February 20, 2022, while designating portfolio to the newly inaugurated Political appointees of the local government; stating that a tree can not make a forest, as he cannot do the work alone.

The  Council Chairman, appealed to them to come up with new ideas on how to generate revenues in order to embark on meaningful projects that will serve as dividends of democracy to the good people of the Council Area.

Speaking further, Ambassador Ogunsola said, it is a privilege for the appointees to be among the chosen ones,while beckoning on them to be loyal to the Authority that called them to serve.

Ambassador Ogunsola also showered encomium on the Staff by passing vote of confidence on the entire workforce of Council Area, stressing that working with them has been a blessing within the past six month of his administration.

He then commended the Staffers, describing them as bulk of experienced, capable and dedicated personnel, whom can be relied upon at any given time.

Meanwhile, in his charge, the Vice Chairman, Hon. Titus Olusesi, who is also the Supervisor for Community, Culture and Chieftaincy Matters, called for unity and mutual understanding in working together as a formidable team.

Hon Olusesi, urged the new Political appointees to be innovative and be dedicated in their various assignments in order to attain higher heights.

Furthermore, the APC Party Chairman, Chief Idowu Olude, commended Ambassador Ogunsola for the timely allocation of portfolio to the new Political appointees and added that Obafemi Owode Local Government will continue to serve as a role model to other local governments in Ogun State and Nigeria at large.

Responding on behalf other newly inaugurated Political office holders, Hon Kayode Dipeolu, the new Secretary to Local Government, in his vote of thanks appreciates Ambassador Ogunsola for the confidence repose on them to perform in various portfolio.

He further stated that, he will continue to be more grateful to the Executive Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo. Abiodun, MFR, and pledged on behalf of others, their total loyalty to the present Administration.

Hon. Dipeolu also solicited for the support of all the Career Staff by extending their hands of fellowship to them.

The list of the newly inaugurated Political office holders and their designated Portfolio are as follows: Hon.Kayode Dipeolu, Secretary to Local Government; Mr Bidemi Sodeke, Supervisor for Works and Housing; Mr Olusina Ariyibi, Supervisor for Water & Environmental Sanitation(WES); Mr Saula Taiwo Adio, Supervisor for Health and Special Duties and Mrs Foluke Oluwadare, Supervisor for Education & Information, respectively.

Others are: Hon. Lekan Shittu, Special Adviser on Political and Legislative Affairs; Mr Noah Aliu, Special Adviser on Road Maintenance and Rural Development; Mr Gbenga Shofidiya, Special Adviser on Security and Inter- governmental Affairs.

Also, Mr Idowu Fasanya, Consultant on Agricultural and Natural Resources; Mr Nurudeen Shodeinde, Consultant on Students,Youth and Sports; Prince Yisa Yusuf, Special Assistant to the Chairman on Protocols and Mr Segun Kusimo as Personal Assistant to the Chairman.

Others at the event included: The Head of Local Government Administration, Mr Fatai Ogundele; Mr Johnson Oyekan, Director, General Services and Administration; Comrade Ebenezer Ekemode, Director, Finance and Supplies; Prince Segun Soneye, Director of Information, Education and Sports and other Directors from various departments in the local government.
