
ANLG: Ayorinde warns CDAs on illegal street naming

The Community Development Associations in Abeokuta North Local government has been warned by the Council Chairman, Prince Adebayo Ayorinde to desist from allocating street naming to any residents without taken proper approval from the Council authority.
Hon Ayorinde has also directed them to remove all illegal street naming sign posts and implored them to come to the Local government for proper procedures and approval before erecting any street naming sign post.
He stressed further that, those that already have it, should come to the Local government for renewal and proper documentation.
Ayorinde explained further that, he would not tolerate any illegal street naming during his administration, and gave two weeks warning notice for the removal of the erected illegal street naming sign posts.
“The removal notice and proper documentation is to enable all accrued revenue on Street Naming get to the coffers of the Local government for improved revenue generation, which would enable the Council distribute dividend of democracy for the betterment of the residents” chairman said.
