
Arsenal consolidates on EPL Log, beats Red Devils in a five goals thriller

The Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal continued their impressive run this season with the defeat of Manchester United by 3 goals to 2 in a keenly contested English Premier League fixture on Sunday at Emirate.
The five goals thriller lived up to the billings as both top teams were in their best elements, very entertaining with sumptuous goals to the admiration of fans that besieged the Emirate arena.
It was an end to an end game but it was Manchester United that got the opener in the 25th minute with a ferocious shot from Marcus Rashford, taken from 25 yards that beat Aaron Ramsdale hands down.
The lead was short lived when enterprising Eddie Nketiah headed in the ball from Gran’t Xhaka’s cross to level scores.
The spectators were kept at the edge of their seats with titillating football from the top teams on the EPL log.
At exactly, 53rd minute, Bukayo Saka’ from close range sent a low drive to the far corner of the post to outstretched David De Gea to put the Gunners ahead with the second goal.
However, 6th minute later, defender and the shortest player on the field, Martinez took advantage of Ramsdale’s error to make it two goals a piece with a diving header.
Thereafter, the Gunners took the initiative by bombarding Red Devils goal area but United defense kept absorbing the pressure until closing hour mark when late heroic efforts from Eddie Nketiah gave the Mikel Arteta’s side the third goal by tapping the ball into the yearning net from close range after receiving a master class pass from the captain of the side, Martin Odegaard which set the whole stadium into frenzy atmosphere and wild jubilation.
With the victory, Arsenal remains top on the EPL LOG, five points ahead of Manchester City while United are fourth with 11points off the table topper.
