ASCSN Hosts Civic Reception in Honor of Benco Ademola, the New Ogun NLC Chairman

There were jubilation scenes in the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria Secretariat on Monday, 23rd April, 2023, when Labour Leaders gathered in large numbers to celebrate the new Ogun State Chairman for Nigeria Labour Congress, Comrade Hameed Benco Ademola.

According to a release, it is the first time in the history of Labour Movement in Ogun State that a State Civil Servant will emerged as the NLC Chairman.

The Newly elected State NLC Chairman, Hammed Benco was greeted with thunderous cheers, applause and chants for his emergence on the just concluded election recently.

The reception hosted by the Chairman, Joint Negotiating Council in Ogun State, Comrade Issa Olude and other members of the Council afforded the Leadership an insight into Benco Ademola life style, Labour Politics and Civil life.

The JNC Chairman while delivering an official welcome address amidst fanfare at the event, attributed the impeccable character of Benco to his emergence as the State NLC Chairman.

“Because one of  us emerged as NLC Chairman in Ogun State, someone who is on the payroll of Ogun State Civil Service at this critical time, it’s worthy of celebration” Issa Olude said.

In his goodwill remark, a former Secretary of Joint Negotiating Council in the State Comrade Olusegun Adebiyi said “whatever bothers on Workers in the State, you will always find Comrade Benco there, he is a thorough bred Labour man and an activist to the core” Adebiyi added.

In his swift reaction, the State Chairman, Nigeria Labour Congress, Comrade Hameed Benco appreciated everyone for encomiums showered on him as he returned all Glory to God Almighty.

He further stated that it was so wonderful to share the historic moment with Labour Leaders in the State. “I am thrilled” while promising that the mandate given to him by the total workforce in the State will not be truncated by any force.

“The Labour Leadership; Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Trade Union Congress, TUC and Joint Negotiating Council, JNC will continue to engage Government on Workers plight appropriately”, NLC Chairman pledged.
