AYORINDE CELEBRATES 100 DAYS IN OFFICE IN GRAND STYLE

Abeokuta North Local Government went agog in commemoration of the 1st 100 days in office of the Executive Chairman, Prince Adebayo Ayorinde.
The remarkable event which was held at Oba Adisa Odeleye Green Park, Ori-Omi, Sokori, Abeokuta witnessed a handful of activities which included the distribution of customized school bags tagged “Back to School” to Public Primary School pupils across the 16 Wards of the Local government Area.
Empowerment of six able bodied women with tricycles and cash support of #10,000 each, empowerment of 150 youths with cash grants and the launching of an Health Insurance Scheme for 50 indigenes of the Local Government.
In his welcome address, Prince Ayorinde his Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun on his efforts in bringing development and succour to the people at the grassroot as well as the educational programmes in ensuring the improvement on the standard of education in the state.
He stated that, he decided to complement the efforts of the state government in ensuring that the people of the Local Government enjoy the dividends of democracy.
He appreciated all party leaders, members of his cabinet, the Legislative Arm of the Local Government, the people and management as well as members of staff of the Local Government for the support given to him in the short period of his assumption of office.
The Council boss disclosed his agenda to further provide more dividends of democracy, by launching a website, which would benefit the people of his Council Area.
Prince Ayorinde opined that this will improve online accessibility of information, advertising of product and services while also building on the image of the Local Government within and beyond.
Furthermore, he promised to provide further health services for the people of the Local Government Area through his foundation “AYO NI O foundation”.
He reassured them better roads, citing Ajitaadun roundabout road under rehabilitation as an example. He noted it is a Federal road but his administration can not fold its arm while his people are suffering.
Ayorinde called on well meaning sons and daughters of the local government to partner with his administration to bring development to the nooks and crannies of the Council.
During the epoch making event, the Council boss recognized the presence of a female paraolympic gold medalist, Miss Latifat Tijani who is an indigene of the Local Government and went ahead to decorate her with her winning medal and also presented cash gift to encourage her and others in such condition.
Goodwill messages were delivered by various Party stalwarts in the Local Government, which included, the party Chairman, Alhaja Faidat Akintunde Sarumi; the Honourable Commissioner for Tourism, Engr. Taiwo Oludotun; former Executive Chairman of the Local Government, Hon. Habeeb Ajayi, and Dr. Sunday Akintona amongst others.They all congratulated him on his success story in the 1st 100 days as the Executive Chairman.
The Vice Chairman, Hon. Ayoola Oluajo, in his vote of thanks appreciated those present at the event and also the backbones of the success story, he thereafter solicited for more of their unflinching support.
Also present at the event were the Leader of the House, Hon. Sikirulai Sanni; the Head of Local Government Administration, Mr Babatunde Owolabi; Members of the Legislative Arm, members of previous administrations of the Local Government and members of Staff.
The occasion was gracefully attended by dignitaries from of walks of life.
