Right from the blast of the whistle, Jurgen Klopp’s side bad started tormenting Manchester United’s defense, with Mohammed Salah and Andy Robertson being chief tormentors.

Red Devils had couple of chances but we’re wasted by Bruno Fernandes who headed wide from the close range, while Marcus Rashford’s tamely effort was not powerful enough to rattle Alison in goal for Liverpool.

What could have been an opener by Casemiro was ruled offside. However, as United fans were brooding over the cancelled goal, Liverpool seized the initiative at the other end of the field with Andy Robertson cutting in and sent a defense splitting pass to Cody Gakpo with a powerful finish in the 43rd minute

Shortly, after the resumption of the second half, Darwin Nunez headed home to double the lead for Liverpool.

Cody Gakpo registered his second goal in the encounter in the 50th minute to give the home side three goals lead while Mohammed Salah who was the torn in the flesh of United players was on target to score the 4th goal from the counter attack.

Darwin Nunez in 75th minute increased the tally to five goals with a fine header while Mohammed Salah , once again, rattled United defense with a tapping in for the 6th goal and Roberto Firmino completed the demolition with the 7th goal in the 88th minute.
