Brentford Wallops Man. United as Chelsea /Tottenham Share the Spoils

Manchester United continued their dismal outing in the two weeks old English Premier league as Brentford spanked Manchester United by four unreplied goals.

In the opening game of the season, the Red had surprisingly lost to Brighton and Hoves at Old Trafford by two goals to one.

United fans still ruminating over what went wrong in their opening game, the Bees compounded their woes with the demolition of their darling team.

In the 10th minute, Josh Dasliva capitalised on David De Gea error to register the 1st goal of the encounter.
The Erik ten Hag’sside looked jittery at the back in the early minutes. The Bees created a high number of chances relative to their possession.

The United struggled, but the Bees were all over the pitch, pilling pressure on the Reds.

David De Gea’s goalkick to Erikson was intercepted by Jensen who slotted home the second goal for the Bees. Ben New, and Byran mbeumo completed the routing.

United came out to fight in the second half with Cristiano Ronaldo and Marcus Rashford trying to pull out the nut from the chest.

Meanwhile, in the London derby, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur shared the spoils by ending week 1, encouraged in 2-2 draw at the Stamford Bridge.

The Blues were on the rampage, springing passes, having command of the mid-field until Kalidou Koulibaly’s volley gave Chelsea well deserved lead.

However, Jorginho’s error in the vital area was capitalised on by Hojbjerga with clinical finish to end the proceeding at half time in a 1-1 draw.

Both teams resumed the second half with a renewed vigour to outwit each other but it was through Recce James in the 77th minute that restored the host’s lead, while Harry Kane dramatic stoppage time equalizer was all the Hotspur needed to escape defeat by a whisker in the London derby.

The two managers, Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte were red carded for unruly behaviour as tempers flared after Kane’s stoppage time back-breaking equalizer.
