The Executive Chairman, Ikenne Local Government, Ogun State, Hon. Olusegun OGUNLEYE, has felicitated Christians on the 2021 Christmas celebration.

Hon. OGUNLEYE, according to a release from the council’s Director of Information, Education and Sports, Tope OYEKAN, charged christians to embrace love, giving, unity, and selflessness which the season represents.

“I charge all our Christian Brothers and Sisters, to love each other, and relate peacefully with themselves, be generous, by freely giving to others, remain united and selfless, even in the face of the numerous challenges facing us as a nation, as the season reminds us of the birth of Jesus Christ, Our Saviour, whose selflessness actually atoned for our sins on the cross of calvary”, said the Chairman.

The council boss implored everyone to celebrate the season with all sense of moderation, as he prayed for journey mercies to those travelling to and from various destinations.

While wishing all Christian faithfuls, a Merry Christmas and a Rewarding New Year in advance, Hon. OGUNLEYE, enjoined all Indigenes and residents of Ikenne Local Government who have taken the first two doses of COVID-19 vaccine, to go ahead and take the booster dose, which is currently in circulation.

He further enjoined them to continue to take all necessary precautionary measures, and observe the required protocols towards containing the spread of COVID-19, moreso, with the advent of its Omicron variant.
