COMRADE SHOLANKE EMERGES NULGE CHAIRMAN ODEDA LG BRANCH

Comrade Adekunle Rasheed Sholanke has been elected as the new Branch Chairman, Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Odeda Local Government.

He polled a total of 149 votes against his challenger who scored 136 votes to emerge the winner in the keenly contested election.

The election, held within the Council Secretariat on Thursday 30th September, 2021 was conducted by the Electoral Committee, chaired by Mrs Titilayo Ademuyiwa. The Electoral process was however, supervised by the State NULGE exco led by Prince Amos Ajayi.

The Election also produced the following people as members of the Executive Council. Comrade Olukola Kehinde was elected as the Vice Chairman, Comrade Obafemi Akingbogun as Secretary, and Comrade Oluranti Tanimowo as Assistant Secretary. Others are Comrade Basit Oyewole as Treasurer, Comrade Suraj Adebesin as Auditor, Comrade Gbeminiyi as Chairperson, Comrade Joseph Ogunsola as Young Worker Representative and Comrade Gafar Sotayo as Trustee.

Speaking after taking the oath of Office, Comrade Adekunle Sholanke, on behalf of other members of the exco expressed his appreciation to the Council Chairman, Hon. Folasade Adeyemo, the HOLGA, Mrs. Olufunke Adeniji, the NULGE State Exco and the entire workforce of Odeda Local Government for voting massively for him. He promised to deliver on his campaign promises.
