The Newly posted Police Area Commander, Sango/Ota Division, ACP Mohammed Sanni Musa has described the Executive Chairman, Ifo local government, Hon. Chief (Mrs) Kikelomo Delano, as a resilient, woman of substance, bridge builder and above all, a lover of the Country.
ACP Sani Musa, who was accompanied by some Senior Police Officers gave the compliments during an official visit to the number one citizen of the Council Area in her office at the secretariat, Ifo.
He noted that, he was overwhelmed and felt highly elated with the reception accorded him and his team despite the fact that, he came from the Northern part of the country.
He then sought for more cooperation and support from the authority of the local government in combating crimes while using the medium to called on parents to always monitor their wards and discourage them from social vices.
He then expressed his displeasure with the rate at which teenagers between age 16 and 20 years involved in crime, ranges from killing, maiming, yahoo yahoo, cultism, kidnapping, banditry amongst others,
Which he said, is very alarming this days stating that, parents should be able to keep their eyes on every activities of their children for our society to be saved for us.
The Council Boss, Chief Mrs. DELANO appreciated the newly posted Area Commander for the visit and urged him to do everything humanly possible to curtail the social vices of the so called area boys in Ifo Local Government Area, most especially in the Constituency II area of the Council.
She assured the Area Commander of government support, but implored him to make his men available whenever there is any emergency situation, in such a way that his posting will bring the much needed peace and calming in all the area under his watch.
Both the Vice Chairman, Hon. Oladapo Adebesin and the Secretary to Local Government, Mr Idris Olalekan Kushimo separately prayed for an harmonious relationship between the Command and the Local Government in a bid to maintain law and order.
The Head of Local Government Administration, Mrs Taiwo Akintomide, while welcoming the Area Commander and his team for the visit appealed to them, to make Ifo Council Area, a crime free community and also prayed for his successful tenure of office.
In attendance were, the Political functionaries, Career officers, divisional Police Officers in Ifo as well as officers from the Area command amongst others.
