The Ogun State Primary Health Care Development Board (OGPHECADEB) in conjunction with UNICEF, WHO, Nigeria Solidarity Support Fund and Clinton Health Access Initiative has embarked on COVID – 19 Vaccination Exercise to Ado-Odo/Ota Market places.

This is in accordance with the directive of the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR, that all citizens of Ogun State should get vaccinated before the end of December, 2021

The State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Tomi Coker, who represented the governor at the event, stated that, His Excellency has directed every member of the State to be duly vaccinated on or before 31st December, 2021 in order to curb the spread of the deadly (COVID – 19) Pandemic.

She appealed to the marketers to endeavour to take the vaccines so as not to waste the efforts of the State Governor who has deemed it fit to subsidize the COVID – 19 vaccine for the entire citizen of the State.

She also advised the marketers to encourage their family members, loved ones, friends and well wishers to be vaccinated especially now that there are mass vaccination of the public on COVID – 19 in Ogun State.

Earlier speaking, The Head of Local Government Administration Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Dr. Abimbola O. Bamgbose appreciated the efforts of His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR, in combating the dreaded COVID-19 disease in Ogun State and the Nation at large.

He further thanked the Ogun State Primary Health Care Development Board for their unalloyed efforts in bringing the vaccination closer to the people especially the market places.

He disclosed that the exercise on COVID – 19 Mass Vaccination in the market places will last for four (4) weeks and enjoined the people to comply with the directives of the medical team from Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Primary Health Care.

The Iyaloja General of Oba T.T. Dada market in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Chief (Mrs) Adetoro Adeogun in her appreciation speech thanked the team from Ogun State Primary Health Care Development Board for their efforts towards ensuring the Vaccination of the people of Ado-Odo/Ota which currently took place at various market places and other Health facility centers within the Local Government Area.
