Curbing Insecurity: Obafemi Owode LG Boss Commends Nigerian Army

The Executive Chairman of Obafemi Owode local government, Ambassador Adesina Ogunsola has commended the Nigerian Army for their dedication and high level of professionalism in securing the nation.

The Chairman said that, their dedication and commitment has reduced the level of insecurity facing the country.

Ambassador Ogunsola who spoke while receiving the Commander, 35 Artillery Brigade, Alamala Abeokuta, Brig. Gen.     I.M Abdullahi, in his office at the local government secretariat, Owode Egba also called for the deployment of more security personnels to the local government in order to check the menace of kidnapping and others.

Ambassador Ogunsola noted that, Obafemi Owode local government shares boundaries with Lagos and Oyo state, saying that the local government requires special treatment from the military.

“There is kidnapping and other security issues facing our people most especially those in the rural areas like Ogunmakin-Ajebo, Mowe-Ibafo axis and amongst others. Obafemi Owode local government needs more presence of your men” Chairman said.

He added that the local government will continue to support the security agencies and make life more comfortable for all personnel posted to the local government jurisdiction.

In his response, the Commander, 35 Artillery Brigade, Alamala, Abeokuta, Brig. Gen I.M Abdullahi, Commended the Council Boss for his words of encouragement and support.

He promised to look at all issues raised by the Council Chairman, while calling on the citizens to always give useful information to security personnel in order to reduce crime in the Council Area.
