Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State had a productive meeting with His Excellency, Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, the President of Zimbabwe, which took place during the ongoing third Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF) held in Cairo.

This meeting was attended by Dr. Benedict Okey Oramah, the President & Chairman of the Board of the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), as well.

The primary purpose of the meeting centered around exploring avenues for collaboration, particularly in the Agricultural sector, with a specific emphasis on establishing a partnership between the Government of Zimbabwe and the Ogun State Government.

The aim of the meeting is to facilitate the exchange of knowledge, resources, and expertise in order to drive innovation, sustainable development, and economic growth in both regions.

“Given the abundant agricultural potential of both Zimbabwe and Ogun State, we firmly believe that a partnership in this sector would bring about significant mutual benefits,” the statement read.
