Delano Mourns Agura of Gbaguraland, Oba Saburi Babajide Bakre, Jamolu II

The Executive Chairman, Ifo Local Government, Hon. Chief (Mrs.) Kikelomo Aridunnu Delano, has mourned the demise of His Royal Majesty, the Paramount Ruler of Gbaguraland, Oba Saburi Babajide Bakre, Jamolu II, who joined his ancestors on wednesday 14th June, 2023.
According to the Council Boss, the death of the 9th Agura of Gbaguraland came as a shock, as Kabiyesi has been doing wonderfully well in the entire Agura land since His Ascension of the throne of his forefathers.
“On behalf of my family, the Executive and Legislative Arms, Management, Political and Religious leaders, Traditional rulers, Staff and the entire good people of Ifo Local Government, I commiserate with the people of Gbaguraland. The demise of one of the Egba prominent Rulers is a painful loss to Egbaland and Ogun State in general.
“We shall continue to remember the late monarch for his meritorious service to his fatherland. He shall be sorely missed not only by his family and kinsmen in Agura land but the entire people of Egbaland and by extension, Ogun State.
“I pray the Almighty God rest His soul, forgive his shortcomings and grant his family and people of Agura land the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss” Delano was quoted to have said in the statement.
