DEVELOPING ABEOKUTA NORTH LG: AYORINDE ENGAGES STAKEHOLDERS ON PEOPLE-ORIENTED PROJECTS

The Executive Chairman, Abeokuta North Local Government, Prince Adebayo Ayorinde met with the Traditional Rulers and Community Leaders within the Local Government on the need to discuss and identify projects that are of paramount importance to respective communities within the Area.

Prince Ayorinde, joined by his Vice, Hon. Ayoola OLUAJO, and Management Staff of the Local Government, met with the stakeholders towards making judicious and prudent use of available resources.

Prince Ayorinde, at the parley, held at the Local Government Secretariat, Akomoje, stated his intention to embark on Community-oriented Projects, with inputs from stakeholders and community leaders alike.

He appreciated the selfless commitment and dedication of community leaders towards the development and growth of their communities, and pledged the readiness of his administration to support and collaborate with them on such projects, while declaring his desire to identify and embark on a major project in each community.

The Council Boss further stated that the tasks ahead of his administration are enormous, hence, solicited the support and cooperation of private organisations, business owners, as well as sons and daughters of the local government, both at home and in the diaspora, to come on board and partner with the Government to develop their communities.

The Chairman reiterated the importance of prompt payment of levies and fees accruing to the Local Government as doing this will provide the needed financial strength for Local Government to fulfill its responsibilities to the populace.

The meeting afforded Royal Fathers, Community Development Councils, and Youth representatives in the Local Government Area, to present their priority needs, ranging from deplorable road conditions; absence of street lights; lack of potable water; as well as dilapidated Health facilities; in their various communities.
