Edo Election: PCRC Commends Police And Sister Security Agencies

The National leadership of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) has described as highly commendable, the professional display of officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and other sister security agencies at the Edo State Gubernatorial Election of Saturday 21st September, 2024.

According to a press release signed by Comrade Kunle Sodipo, SSA Media and Publicity, office of the PCRC National Chairman, the National Chairman, Alhaji Mogaji Ibrahim Olaniyan said, crime and criminality knows no political party, tribe or religion. “This is why every good Nigerian must take time out to appreciate our highly dutiful and patriotic security agents, especially Police officers and men who always put their lives on the line in the process of maintaining law and order for communal benefits and survival”.

The PCRC National Chairman, Alhaji Olaniyan, expressed high level of confidence in the Nigeria Police Force ably led by IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun Ph.D, NPM, and  noted with pride, the commitment and dedication shown by the Police and other sister security agents in the peaceful nature of the election in Edo State which is otherwise known and referred to as “the Heartbeat of the Nation”.

He lauded the Police team lead by, DIG Frank Mba and Force PRO, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi respectively for the good coordination of Police officers and men who displayed absolute professionalism before, during and after the election and for relocating the Nigeria Police Force Information Center to Edo-State for proper assessment and dissemination of election related security information.

While expressing confidence in the survival of Nigeria’s fragile democracy, the Number One PCRC member in Nigeria and diaspora called for more supports and trust in the Police Force during efforts to safeguard and protect lives and properties of citizens from criminal elements.
