Education, Key to Promising Future: Ogunleye, Ikenne LG Boss, Admonishes Students

Hon. Olusegun Ogunleye, Executive Chairman, Ikenne Local Government, stated this, while speaking at the flag-off of one-month intensive coaching programme for SS 3 students of Christ Apostolic Grammar School, Iperu Remo, held on Tuesday, 5th April, 2022.

The Council Boss said that, education improves personal lives and helps in running societal activities smoothly, adding that, a well-educated person with a good certificate from a reputable institution will also earn good salary, and thus become an important personality in life.

He admonished the students to be more dedicated to their studies and achieve better results in their examinations.

Hon. Ogunleye appreciated the organizer of the program, D’ROOTZ Foundation for its support towards empowering young minds in the society.

He therefore called on other good-spirited organisations to also partner with his administration in her quest at providing good governance to the people.

The Chairman also commended his Boss, Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR, the Governor of Ogun State, for his various people oriented programmes, particularly, his intervention in the education sector.

The representative from D’ROOTZ Foundation, Alhaji Serifat Oladipupo thanked everyone present at the ceremony, and urged the students to always dream big, because the aim of the foundation is to support the youths in achieving their dreams and that the organization is ready to give extensive support.

Present at the event were: Mr Femi Opasanya, Special Adviser, Information, Education and Sports; Ikenne Local Government; Alhaji Jimoh, representing Ogun State Teaching Service Commission; Barr. Ifasola Saheed Opeodu, Oluwo of Iperu; Mr. Taiwo Oyebanjo, Vice President, Iperu Community Development Association; Ambassador Kola Osho, President, The Great Ambassadors Club of Iperu; Mr Yemi Adeitan, a retired school Principal, amongst others.
