EKLG : HON ADESINA LAYS FOUNDATION OF BLOCKS OF 32 LOCK-UP SHOPS
……vows to make Ewekoro Local Government the Economic Hub of Ogun State.

The Executive Chairman, Ewekoro Local Government, Hon. Sikiru Adesina has vowed to make the local Government the economic hub of Ogun State through economic and infrastructural development and not to be regarded as a rural Local Government.
This vow was made during the foundation laying ceremony of Blocks of 32 lock-up shops at Yeye Olufunke Shopping Complex at Itori.
Hon Sikiru Adesina emphasised that the construction of the lock-up shops would develop economic activities of Itori and its environs as people would be coming to patronize it for their daily needs.
He assured the people that, after the completion of the lock-up shops, the allocation would be done on merit and not in favour of unmerited applicants.
The Local Government Boss, disclosed that, aside from the 32 lock-up shops, the authorities of Ewekoro Local Government had equally approved the construction of 84 Lock-up shops and 40 open stalls at Arigbajo market while negotiation is on-going with other investors to construct several numbers of lock-up shops at Obada market, Papalanto market, public toilets at Wasimi and Obada markets amongst others.
Hon Adesina, also, made a disclosure that efforts were in top gear to clear land for the proposed permanent market for Jaguna people as soon as the Council’s grader is in good shape.
He further made it known that several meetings had been held with the Executives of SUPER SPARE-PARTS INTERNATIONAL MARKET to relocate and choose Ewekoro Local Government as their abode while meetings were also held with several organisations that were interested in establishing factories which would reduce drastically the unemployment rate of the youths.
Speaking at the event, the Olu of Itori, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Abdul Fatai Akorede Akamo, expressed his appreciation to the Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR, for the transformation of Ogun State.
Oba Abdul Fatai Akorede, also lauded the Executive Chairman, Hon. Sikiru Adesina that, within the short period of assumption of office, the local government had been witnessing a massive turn around.
The latest, according to the Kabiyesi, is the establishment of ITORI /EWEKORO NIPOST which would in no small measure save people of the Council Area the energy of going to Ifo or Sango for their Postal Services.
The Olu of Itori, therefore enjoined all and sundry to give maximum support to the present administration of Ewekoro Local Government to actualise its dream of meeting the yearnings of the people.
In his own words , Oni Jaguna of Jaguna , His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiu Alao Shodipo, expressed his immense joy and thanked Hon. Sikiru Adesina for deeming it fit to construct 32 lock-up shops at Jaguna. He prayed that the almighty God would continue to to endow him with more wisdom to paddle the canoe of administration of the local Government to a safety shore.
Earlier, the Head of Local Government Administration, Mr. Adeyanju Akinyemi, in his welcome address thanked God for the enablement, while assuring the people of more developmental projects that would cut across the Council Area.
