EMULATE VIRTUES OF CHRIST -HON ADESINA ADVISES CHRISTIANS AT YULETIDE

The Executive Chairman of Ewekoro Local Government, Hon. Adesina Sikiru Adisa has advised christians to emulate virtues of Jesus Christ as they celebrate this year’s Christmas. Hon Adesina gave the advice in his Christmas message.

Hon Adesina, stressed that Christmas is important to  Christians because it reminds them that Jesus Christ, the son of God, came to earth for the Salvation of the people.

According to a release from the Council’s Director of Information, Education and Sports, Sakiru Olopade, the Council Boss enjoined Christians to emulate the  virtures of Christ such as patience, humility, service to humanity, hope, faith, charity and love, stressing love as the chief of other virtues.

The number one citizen of Ewekoro Local Government, therefore, called on them to celebrate moderately and ensure strict adherence to all the stipulated protocols and guidelines of Covid–19 pandemic such as wearing of face mask, frequent washing of hands with soap and water, using hand sanitizer and avoidance of large crowd.

Speaking further, Hon Adesina urged Christians and Nigerians both at home and in diaspora to use the festive period to pray for the country in surmounting the insecurity and economic challenges facing the nation, while wishing all and sundry merry Christmas and prosperous New year.
