Encomiums as Holga Onayemi Bows Out of Service

As Alhaji Onagbenga Onayemi gloriously bow out of the Ogun State Local Government Service, the  Chairman of the Local Government Service Commission, LGSC, Ms. Olivia Olubukunola Onabanjo has described him as a highly dedicated staff who contributed immensely in ensuring quality service delivery while in active service.

Ms Onabanjo, made this statement, at a valedictory service organized by the LGSC, in honour of the outgoing Director, Manpower Development and Training, Alhaji Musiliu Onagbenga Onayemi, at the Commission’s Conference room, Oke Mosan.

“I can conveniently tell you that Alhaji Onayemi was a dedicated, diligent and friendly officer, who is going to be missed by all  the Staff of the Commission” Onabanjo said.

She enjoined other staff of the Commission to learn from the good deeds of Alhaji Onayemi.

“Before he was posted to the Local Government Service Commission, we have heard a lot about him, he has assisted many local governments in Ogun state, in improving the internally generated revenue of the Councils, that’s why he was brought to serve at the commission.

“He is leaving when the ovation is loudest, he will always be a reference point in the Local Government Service” Onabanjo further stated.

In his own remark, on behalf of the Management and Staff of the Commission, the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Adeolu Olufowobi, described the outgoing Director, as a committed Accountant who is always available at a beckon.

“He has served in various capacities as  an accountant, Treasurer and Head of Local Government Administration in 15 out of the 20 local governments in Ogun State.

While appreciating him for his contributions throughout his stay at the commission, Olufowobi charged everyone to emulate the good gesture of Alhaji Onayemi.

In his response and words  of appreciation, Alhaji Onayemi, thanked the Chairman, LGSC, Ms Onabanjo; the Full-Time Commissioners, the Permanent Secretary, all the directors and other staff of the commission for the honour bestowed on him.

The valedictory service was well attended by the LGSC Chairman, the Full-time Commissioners, the Permanent Secretary, all the Directors, Deputy Directors, the entire workforce and the Information unit of the Commission.
