EPL : AWAY TEAMS SMILE HOME WITH VICTORIES ON A NEW YEAR FIXTURES

It was sweet victories for teams playing away in the English Premier League on a new year fixtures.
Inspite playing away from home, Manchester City maintained unassailable lead with a victory against in form Arsenal, with five -match winning streak as against City eleven straight premier league wins.
Arsenal without Mikel Arteta due to Covid-19 infection, got the 1st goal in the 31st minute through Bukayo Saka.
However, in the 57th minute, Manchester City levelled scores via a penalty spot, taken by Riyad Mahrez.
The 10 man gunners conceded back-breaking goal in the third minute of stoppage time through Rodri to secure victory for the Pep Guardiola’s tutored side at the Emirate.
Tottenham Hotspur compounded the woes of Watford with another late minute strike that gave Spurs an important victory on away soil.
Davinson Sanchez scored a stoppage time header to bring the encounter beyond the struggling Watford that had lost five games consecutively before today’s match against Spurs that is yet to lose a match since Antonio Conte had become the team’s manager.
It was five goals thriller at Selhurst Park where West Ham was able to beat Crystal Palace by 3 goals to two in a London derby.
It was a hard earned victory for West Ham, having gone ahead with 3 goals up with goals from Michail Antonio, Manuel Lanzini with a brace.
Crystal Palace dominated proceedings in the second half, Odsonne Edouard pulled one back in the 83rd minute while Michael Olise got the second goal to reduce the tally to three goals to two but not enough to save Crystal Palace from home defeat.
