EPL: Man United Edges out miserable Foxes at King power

Leicester City continued their poor run in the 2022/23 English Premier League, the Foxes still remain winless after five matches.

The Foxes, playing against Manchester United that is desperate to return to the glorious days, having lost the 1st two games of the season, before beaten Liver Pool by two goals to one and pipped Southampton by a lone goal.

The United victory at the king power made it three sweet victories in a row to the relief of the United fans and which had also changed their fortunes on the log.

The Foxes looking for their first victory at all cost, lacked the killer fire to consume the United as the visitors relied on counter attack for the better part of the encounter.

In the 23rd minute, Jadon Sancho capitalised on Leicester’s poor defending, with Sancho rounding off goalkeeper Danny Ward after collecting a through pass from Marcus Rashford to register the only goal of the match.

United bent on holding on to the only goal, introduced the new signing, Casemiro to fortify the mid-field while Cristiano Ronaldo was also brought in to assist in the team in the attack.

 

What could have been the best goal of the season so far, was a cycle kick from the living legend, Ronaldo but missed the target by a whisker.

The closest the Foxes came to scoring was James Maddison’s free-kick from 25 yards that called David De Gea to action.
The Brendan Rodgers tutored side were booed by the disappointed fans at full time, following another lacklustre performance as the Foxes remain winless.
