The Europa League specialist, Sevilla, at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan, bashed the depleted Manchester United by three goals to nothing, to book a semi final place in the 2022/23 Europa League.

It was a shocking defeat for the Red Devils, as nobody expected such humiliation of the Erik Ten Hag’s side, though, United went into the game without some of their stars owing to injury and card suspension.

The absence of injured Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane was evident as United defence collapsed like a pack of cards while Bruno Fernandez’s suspension was clearly shown on the field of play as United lacked creativity in the midfield with Casemiro not in his best element.

Two terrible mistakes in the defence, an awful error from the captain, Harry Maguire in the 8th minute gave Sevilla their first goal as Lamela capitalized on the error to give an assist to Youssef En-Nesyri to his 50th goal for Sevilla.

Looping header was all Loic Bade needed to extend the sevilla’s lead to two in the 47th minute to the delight of their veriforous fans that besieged the arena.

Another school boy error, this time, from David De Gea presented on a platter of gold in the 81st minute to En – Nesyri to complete the routing with the third goal.

Going by the defeat, United has blown away the chance of European success.

However, Manchester United will have a date with Brighton in the FA Cup semi final on Sunday at Wembley while on April, 27th, the Red Devils, equally, has a key premier league fixture away to Tottenham.
