Ewekoro L/G : Hon. Adesina Commences Grading of Roads as Farmers Begin Intense Farming Activities

..…farmers sing praises of Hon Adesina for coming to their aids after suffering neglect from previous administrations.
In his characteristic manner, as dry season sets in and farmers are in the beehive of farming activities, the executive chairman of Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State, Hon Adesina Sikiru Adisa has left no stone unturned by ensuring grading of earth roads in Itori ward that serves as link to about nine villages to the delight of many farmers and other rural dwellers in the area.
The grader had moved to the sites since Monday, 30th of January, 2023, to commence grading of the areas that had suffered neglect from the previous administrations.
The areas included: Alabe, Elefon, Amosun, Akeroro, Alausa, Abule Oba, Gbesan , Obalado, Ikereku Igbo, and Ikereku Papa.
According to the council helmsman, what informed his decision was to alleviate the hardship the farmers and the dwellers in the rural areas encounter in the course of transporting their farm produce to the city.
He stated that, the grading would to some extent, ease vehicular movement of both human and agricultural produce to various markets.
” We need to spread dividends of democracy to all the nooks and crannies of the council area, no part will be excluded from feeling the impact of the government’s presence, rural areas inclusive.” the chairman reassured.
” My experience during my campaign tour of every ward gave me the opportunity to feel what my people are passing through.
“In view of this, I have made up my mind that rural dwellers will equally be considered in the scheme of things,”Hon Adesina declared.
Hon Adesina, reiterated his determination to move the local government to greater heights and compete favourable well among the comity of local governments in Nigeria.
“In order to achieve this, I have resolved to work till the last day in office, as I am committed to serving my people with unwavering vision,” he reaffirmed.
The council boss, therefore, assured the people that grading of earth roads would be extended to other wards that made up the council area in due course.
His words: ” We are not stopping here, we will ensure that every ward equally benefit, no ward will be excluded,” the chairman reassured.
In the meantime, farmers and other rural dwellers in the benefited areas could not hide their feelings as they commended the executive chairman, Hon Adesina Sikiru Adisa for the grading of the roads that had suffered total neglect from the previous administrations .
“I really want to commend the chairman for looking at our side at this crucial period we are preparing for the farming activities. This graded roads will help in no small measure and will boost the council’s economic growth, “Mr Ayo Akinsakin, one of the respondents said.
“In his own words : ” Honestly, we have suffered neglect but Hon Adesina Sikiru has taken away our pains, but I want to implore our hardworking chairman not to relent in assisting us, there are areas we still need his assistance,” 9another respondent stated.
Early last year, Hon Adesina Sikiru had graded many earth roads within the 10 wards of the council area, including the regular grading and sand filling of the old Lagos /Abeokuta Itori axis and Onigbedu junction to reduce the gridlock being experienced by the road users.
