Ewekoro LG: Hon. Adesina Presents Budget Estimate of #2,741,899.360 to the Legislative Council

.……..says year 2023 budget is to consolidate last year achievements and improve the quality of life of the people of Ewekoro Local Government.
At a well attended 2023 budget presentation program, the executive chairman, Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State, Hon Adesina Sikiru Adisa has presented a budget size of #2,741,899.360 to the legislative arm of the council.
According to the council boss, the total figure proposed as expenditure; Comprising of recurrent and capital expenditure which was expected to be financed from projected Internally Generated Revenue of #109,145,000 and the statutory allocations from the federal and state allocations as well as other sources of revenue receipts totalling #2,632,754.360.
Hon Adesina empathized that the year 2023 budget, tagged, ” Budget of Fulfilment” was in pursuit of his administration’s laudable objective as well as building on the solid foundation already laid by past administrations, through policies, programmes, and projects that would not only have direct impacts on the life of the people but would better the overall wellbeing of the grassroot populace.
His words: “We intend to do the best but a lot rest on money coming to us from federation and state accounts; On our part, we will do everything humanly possible to sky raise the Internally Generated Revenue for more money,” he explained.
The council helmsman, expressed his gratitude to the leader of the legislative council, Hon Abiola Muheeb Kehinde and other honourable members of the house, for their spirit of accommodation, self denial, perseverance and cooperation since the present administration came on board.
He, therefore, sought for total understanding between the executive arm and legislative council, that all hands must be on deck in the interest of the people and their destiny.
Earlier, in his speech, Hon Adesina appreciated all and sundry for their unflinching support for the present administration.
” I appreciate the absolute understanding support and confidence we have been enjoying from our peace loving people since we came on board, in particular, we appreciate the role of our amiable, pragmatic, untiring and indefatigable governor, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR, who has contributed significantly to the success and remarkable achievements of our administration.
“Equally, the role of of our royal fathers and elders, for their elderly and immense contributions in ensuring peace, good governance and leadership in our various towns and villages can not be underestimated,” the chairman concluded.
In his acceptance speech, the leader of the legislative council, Hon Abiola Muheeb Kehinde, commended the chairman, Hon Adesina Sikiru Adisa for a job well done, concerning the last year budget approval and maximum implementation by the executives and as a result, it had great impact on the socio – economic life of the people of Ewekoro Local Government.
“This obviously shows that the draft budget presented today will not only be implemented when approved, but will further consolidate the good work this administration had embarked upon to better the welfare of the citizenry of Ewekoro Local Government, since inception of office,” Hon Abiola stated.
He, therefore, gave an assurance on behalf of the honourable members that the legislative house would waste no time to process the budget estimate, so that it could be considered and approved for the betterment of the people.
He appreciated the Council’s management team for their response to the yearnings of the honourable members to have a befitting legislative chamber and conducive office accommodation.
“The rehabilitation going on in the hallow chamber and leader’s office is unprecedented and it is well commendable,” Hon Abiola stated enthusiastically.
The colourful budget presentation was witnessed by members of the executive arm, legislative council, Head of local government administration, Directors/Heads of various departments, All Progressive Congress party stalwarts, captains of industries and people from all walks of life.
