Ewekoro LG Stand Still as NULGE Branch Celebrates 2022 End of the Year Party, Award Presentation

....Hon. Adesina applauded for putting staff welfare in the front burner.

People from all walks of life besieged the Ewekoro Local Government Secretariat, Itori, to celebrate 2022 end of the year party and award presentation, organized by the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, Nulge, Ewekoro branch, under the able leadership of comrade Abdulsalam Ibrahim and powered by the Council Area.

Right from the wee hours of the d-day, people had started to troop in for the event organised to appreciate and adore the Almighty God for protecting them from January to December and also to applauded the management, staff, and important personalities who had contributed to the progress of Ewekoro Local Government and Ogun State entirely.

The number one Nulge man in Ewekoro Local Government, applauded the executive chairman, Hon Adesina Sikiru Adisa led administration for his tremendous impact on welfare of staff.

Which according to the council Nulge branch chairman, included; conducive atmosphere for staff to work, payment of promotion examination fees for the affected staff, payment of Christmas and New year bonus to all workers in the year 2021, payment of Ileya bonus to all workers for year 2022, approval for the payment of inconvenient allowance to the officers posted to the Local Government with a promise to pay appreciable 2022 Christmas and New year bonus.

Comrade Abdulsalam, took time to state the achievements of his Nulge administration, “Part of our achievements included: regular medical check up for our members so that we can arrest any unwarranted situation that can lead to painful circumstances, maintenance of cordial relationship between the political functionaries, management and the staff  amongst many more” he said.

He also eulogized the distinguished Head of Local Government Administration, Engr. Ayoade A. A. and other management team who believed that, a well motivated workforce would ensure adequate service delivery.

“To all our awardees, I must honestly salute you graciously, your impact, generosity and philanthropic gestures had affected our society positively which has equally earned you this great recognition from our union. I implored you, not to look back, and to all adorable and charismatic members of staff.

“I thank you for your unflinching and unalloyed support given to me, to pilot the affairs of our great union. I promise never to let you down anytime you need me” comrade Abdulsalam concluded.

While delivering his keynote address, the executive chairman, Ewekoro Local Government, Hon Adesina Sikiru Adisa stated that the historical event was set aside, to felicitated the entire workforce of the council area, saying, “all works and no play, makes Jack a dull boy”.

“As a staff friendly administration, the zeal to better the lots of workers in this local government has been our priority” the chairman declared.

Hon Adesina, also commended the chairman, Ogun state local government service commission, LGSC, Barr. Olubukunola Olivia Onabanjo and her team for doing great job on the welfare of Local government workers in Ogun state.

The council boss also commended the Honourable commissioner for the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon Ganiyu Hamzat, for his good role in steering the affairs of the local governments in Ogun state.

He gave kudos to the Holga, and other Heads of department for their professional and moral support for his administration to achieve the targeted goals for the council area in order to move it to the greater level.

He poured encomium on the NULGE chairman and his executive for their cooperation and maintaining cordial relationship with the management to ensure friendly working environment.

The council helmsman, therefore, implored members of staff not to relent in given maximum support to his administration in the bid to take Ewekoro local government to the highest pedestal while equally enjoined them to support the administration of governor Dapo Abiodun to move Ogun state to an enviable level in the comity of States in Nigeria.

Speaking at the event, the National President of Nulge, comrade Akeem Olatunji Ambali, went down on memory lane, saying local government is the most important tier of government that is closer to the people.

Comrade Ambali explained that the existence of local government dated back to 1600 during the era of native authority when the governance was done in the palace, stressing that local government gave birth to both Federal and state governments.

Comrade Ambali, revealed that in the past, the old politicians have the genuine love of people at heart but now our days, it is no longer so.

The Nulge National President, disclosed that members of the union had resolved to vote massively for any governor or party that give their consent to the local government autonomy.

In his own address, the President, Nulge Ogun state, comrade Ayuba Olatunji , appreciated the state governor, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR, for his good working in the state.

Comrade Ayuba, stated that the governor has been keeping his promises, most especially, with the largesse being received by the 20 local governments in the state, hopeful the trend would continue even after the election.”Our governor is a promise keeper” comrade Ayuba reaffirmed.

Similarly, Ayuba commended, the council boss, Hon Adesina Sikiru Adisa, for the achievements recorded so far the inception of his administration as second to none, concerning workers welfare packages.

He therefore urged the workers to reciprocate government kind gestures by being alive to their responsibilities at all times and enjoined them as members of the service to act in accordance with the civil service rules and regulations.

While speaking, the Olu of Itori, Oba Abdulsalam Akamo Akorede, gave kudos to the state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, for his tremendous achievements in all ramifications.

The monarch stated that, were now witnessing a new gate way state under Prince Abiodun, “No governor has surpassed the achievements of Prince Dapo Abiodun led administration in Ogun state” Oba Akamo Akorede said.

In the same vein, the monarch also commended the council chairman, Hon Adesina Sikiru Adisa, for changing the face of the council area, saying, “He is a miracle worker with exemplary leadership quality”.

Notable personalities that were presented with awards included; the executive chairman, Hon Adesina Sikiru Adisa; Hon Ibrahim Isiaka, member of the House of Representatives, representing Ifo/ Ewekoro constituency; Hon Yussuf Amosu, member of the Ogun state House of Assembly, representing Ewekoro constituency.

Others are, Hon Ganiyu Hamzat, Commissioner for Local Government and chieftaincy affairs; Oba (Dr) Abdulfatai Akamo Akorede, the Olu of Itori; Alhaja Aliu Abisola, Ogun central senatorial woman leader; Comrade Akeem Olatunji Ambali, National President, NULGE; Comrade Olatunji Ayuba, Ogun state President, NULGE; Barr.Olubukunola Olivia Onabanjo, Chairman, Ogun state Local Government Service Commission; Engr. Anthony Ayoade, the head of local government administration.

Notable directors of various departments, past NULGE chairmen of Ewekoro local government branch and some outstanding members of staff in recognition of their Sterling qualities and immense contributions to the council area were also given awards.
