FG Inaugurates State Funeral Committee for Late Lt. Gen. Oladipo Diya

The Federal Government has inaugurated a State Funeral Committee for the former Chief of General Staff, late Lieutenant General Oladipo Diya, with the mandate of planning a befitting burial for the elder statesman in collaboration with Ogun and Lagos State Governments.
A statement by Director Information in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Willie Bassey said that the Permanent Secretary, General Services, Nnamdi Mbaeri inaugurated the Committee on behalf of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
The State Funeral Committee will be chaired by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha; with Ministers of Works and Housing; Information and Culture as well as Mines and Steel Development as members.
Other members included the Chief of Defence Staff; Inspector-General of Police; Director-General, Department of State Services; Representatives of Ogun and Lagos State Governments as well as from the family of late Lt. Gen. Diya.
