Fire Outbreak: Gov. Idris Donates N50m To Traders In Jega

Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris has donated N50m to traders whose shops were gutted by fire in Jega Local Government Area of Kebbi State.

The governor also donated N10m to the family of one Musibau, who lost his life alongside his wife and a three months old baby as result of fire outbreak in Jega.

Gov. Idris gave the donation on Thursday when he paid a condolence visit to the family residence of the deceased as well as the scene of market inferno.

He said: “N50m is for those whose shops were burnt down on 16th January 2024, while N10m is for the family that lost thier lives. At this juncture, I want to pray to Almighty Allah to forgive the deceased shortcomings and grant them Jannatul Firdaus,” he prayed.

The governor described the inferno as an act of God Almighty that nobody had the right to question and advised the family members and friends to always remember the deceased in their prayers for God Almighty to have mercy on their souls.

On the governor’s entourage were; the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Yakubu Bala-Tafida; Chairman Civil Service Commission and former Deputy Governor, Hon. Bello Dantani; Special Adviser on Infrastructure and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Alhaji Abubakar Malam (Shettima Gwandu); Hon. Commissioner, Special Duties, Zayyanu Umar-Aliero; Chairman Kebbi State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Hon. Bello Bello-Yakubu Rilisco and Permanent Secretary, Abubakar Sagir.
