GEEP: Hon. Majekodunmi Charges Beneficiaries for Judicious Spending

The Executive Chairman, Abeokuta South Local Government, Hon. Omolaja Ayodele Majekodunmi has charged the Government Enterprise Empowerment Programme (GEEP) beneficiaries in the Local Government Area to spend the money judiciously.
Hon. Majekodunmi, who was ably represented by Hon. Orija Olanrewaju, Councilor representing Ward 1, gave the charge during the issuance of the Automated Teller Machine Card (ATM) to the beneficiaries at Olusegun Taiwo Multipurpose Hall within the council secretariat, Ake, and promised that their account will be credited very soon.
He stated further that, the All Progressive Congress (APC) Party from the Federal down to the Local Government will continue to intensify efforts in proffering solutions to the hardship in the country.
Earlier, The Commissioner for Special Duties and Inter- Governmental Affairs, Hon. (Mrs.) Olufemi Ilori Oduntan affirmed that, the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development, is saddled with the responsibility of implementing the Government Enterprise Empowerment Programme (GEEP) which is one of the four clusters of the National Social Investment Programme (NSIP).
She added that the GEEP is designed to give access to credit to poor and vulnerable people who are at the bottom of the economic pyramid, including persons living with disability with free interest and collateral
She explained further that the programme is leveraging three loan products which include, TRADERMONI, MARKETMONI, and FARMERMONI to support small to medium size businesses as well as provide credit to beneficiaries while also onboarding beneficiaries into the formal financial system through bank accounts and mobile wallets to eradicate poverty throughout the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
