HOLGA Adeosun Charges Abeokuta South LG Staff to be Disciplined in Discharge of Duties

The newly posted Head of Local Government Administration, Mr Oluwole Adeosun, FCIA, has charged members of staff of Abeokuta South Local Government, Ake, to be disciplined while discharging their duties.

The new HOLGA stated this, during his first meeting with the members of staff in the Local Government on Tuesday 26th April, 2022 at the Council’s Secretariat, Ake.

Mr. Adeosun who is an administrator guru enjoined members of staff to live by example as Abeokuta South is known to be at the fore-most and second to none in the state. He encouraged all staff to intensify their efforts in increasing the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of the Local Government.

Mr Adeosun stressed that, all members of staff are automatically revenue collectors, hence they should put up good attitude towards the discharge of duties.

He advised members of staff to support the current administration and at the same time stay aloof of politics.

He encouraged staffers to work in line with the Local Government Service Commission’s vision, mission and core values  statements,  so as to have a crop of well trained, ethically acculturated, professional grounded and well disciplined officers in the service.

He stressed the need to train and retrain members of staff as it will have to be continuous.

Speaking at the meeting, the Council Branch Chairman of Nigeria Local Government Employee, Nulge, Comrade Ogunwemimo Odunayo, thanked the HOLGA for calling such a meeting and for given them a sense of belonging.

The Nulge Branch Chairman asked for a good working environment as well as working tools for a smooth operation.

He pleaded for the good welfare of staff in order to motivate and encourage them.

The Staffers also solicited for a conducive and enabling environment for everyone to be able to effectively discharge their statutory responsibilities.

In attendance were Directors, Head of Departments, Unit Heads and members of staff.
