HON. DELANO HARPS ON IMPROVED INTERNALLY GENERATED REVENUE

The Executive Chairman Ifo Local Government, Hon.(Mrs) Kikelomo Delano, recently paid an inspection and familiarization visit to Kara market in Iseri- Olofin and other major markets as well as area offices in Ifo Local Government.

While at the event, having listened to various complaints and demands by various market women and leaders in these markets ranging from flooding, lack of public toilet facilities, water supply, motorable roads leading to markets as well as inadequate market stalls and shops, Hon. Delano promised that peculiar cases and demands from each markets will be looked into and lasting solutions will also be preferred to ease ways of conducting business activities in and around markets in the council area.

While on the tour, the Chairman appealed to traders and markets leaders to give their unalloyed support and cooperation to her administration as only this, according her, can bring the desired socio-economic and political development to the nooks and crannies of the Council Area.

Hon. Delano also used the occasion to enlightened the market operators on the inherent benefits in constantly fulfilling their civic obligation of remitting all accruing levies and fees to the coffers of government, which in turn, will be used to turn around the  socio economic infrastructures in and around our communities in the Local Government Area.

The representative of the Market operators, Ahaji Hamuda Sayidu pledged the support of every Market women and men to the administration while urging the Chairman to come to their aid in areas listed in their demands.

 

 

At the area offices visited, the Head of Local Government Administration, Ifo Local Government, Mrs. Akintomide Taiwo; in company of the Chairman, Vice Chairman, Hon. Dapo Adebesin and other Principal Officers charged members of staff to be good ambassadors of the Local Government by ensuring all levies and fees collected are remitted promptly to the appropriate office.

Akintomide further urged them to rededicate themselves to their duties, embrace diligence, efficiency and professionalism at all times
