Hon. Delano Inspects Landmark Projects, Reiterates Commitment To Grassroot Development

The Executive Chairman, Ifo Local Government, Hon. Chief (Mrs.) Kikelomo Aridunnu Delano has reiterated her commitment to grassroot development through execution of projects that have direct impact on the wellbeing of the people.

Hon. Delano stated this during a two-day inspection tour of landmark projects embarked upon by her administration across the Council Area. The tour started on Thursday 21st and ended on Friday 22nd of March, 2024.

According to the Council boss, her administration embarked on the projects in fulfilment of her promise to the people in the build up of her campaign and eventual election into office. Hon. Delano said that she is determined to provide laudable projects as well as social amenities which will in turn bring the expected development across the Council area.

At ward 1, a culvert was constructed alongside grading of Olorunsogo Adenrele Road to pave the way for easy accessibility of people and vehicular movement in the axis.

A block of 3-classrooms with offices was reconstructed for the use of the pupils and staff of Nawarudeen Nursery and Primary School in Ifo ward 2. In the same vein, a block of 2-Classrooms was built at Local Government Primary School at Iju-Aga in ward 6 area.

The developmental projects were extended to Ijemo-Coker ward 10 with the provision of a borehole, while the one at Akera in ward 4 was rehabilitated. Also, in Agbado Health Centre, the Laboratory block was renovated while similar gesture was replicated at ward 4.

Other wards in Ifo Local Government area that enjoyed the dividends of democracy are ward 7 and 8, where culverts were constructed at Robiyan and Awela areas respectively.

In separate interviews, a resident at Olorunsogo Adenrele Community, where their road was graded and culvert constructed, Alhaji Badru and Mrs. Adebusoye, the Head Teacher of Nawarudeen primary school where a block of 2 Classrooms was constructed, commended the Chairman for her good gesture, noting that the projects will positively impact on the peopleHowever, the Council Boss pledged that other wards not reached in the ongoing projects in the Local Government Area will also be touched, promising not to leave any stone unturned before the expiration of her tenure.

Dignitaries on the Executive Chairman’s entourage to the project sites are; the Vice Chairman, Hon. Oladapo Adebesin; the Leader of the Legislative Arm, Hon Olanrewaju Adeleye; Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Olalekan Kusimo; Supervisor for Primary Health Care, Mrs. Anifat Salami; Supervisor for Community and Social Development, Alhaji Olaifa Akeem and the Supervisor for Special Duties, Hon. Ojo Abeebat Bolanle.

Others are the Head of Local Government Administration, Miss Adeniji Olufunke; Ag. Director of Finance and Supply, Mr. Adeniyi Akeeb; Ag. Director, General Services and Administration, Prince Olanire; Ag. Clerk of the House, Mrs. Abioye Pius; Engineers in Works and Housing Department as well as the Information Crew amongst others.
