HON SALAMI INAUGURATES THE 7TH LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF YEWA SOUTH LOCAL GOVT
——Charges members to evolve bye laws that will bring succor and development

The Executive Chairman of Yewa South Local Government, Hon Lateef Adebayo Salami, a. k. a. (LAS) has charged members of the 7th Legislative Council of Yewa South Local Government to evolve bye laws that would bring succor and development to the life of ordinary citizens of the Council Area.

The Local Government Boss made the charge during the inauguration of the 7th Legislative cou Council at the Legislative Chamber.

Hon. Salami re-emphasised that, they must serve diligently and with utmost sincerity, saying, “all hands must be on deck to ensure that people of the Council Area enjoy the dividend of democracy.

He reminded them that all eyes are on them, and that they should discharge their constitutional roles to the best of their ability with the zeal to deliver to the expectation of the people who elected them.

While speaking further, Hon. Salami acknowledged the good work and exemplary leadership demostrated by the Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR, whom he said was largely responsible for the landslide victory recorded by the ALL PROGRESSIVE CONGRESS APC during the Local government elections.

In his acceptance speech, after his emergence as the 7th Leader of the Legislative Council, Hon. Talabi Safiu, representing ILOBI–ERINJA WARD, thanked God for the reality of the day, saying, without God on their side, the day would not have been possible.

Hon. Talabi also Commended the Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR for a job well done which ensured the overwhelming victory of APC at the Local government polls.
He also thanked the electorates as well as party members for their support.

The Leader of the House also solicited for the cooperation and support of his colleagues, admitting that he could not do it alone. He said it is a collective task which the onus of evolving bye laws that would improve the lots of the people should be paramount and rested on their shoulders.

He then implored others that, the honourable house should be devoid of rancor and acrimony in the execution of legislative business.
