ICAN Abeokuta, District Society Inaugurate Junaid as 19th District Chairman

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, (ICAN) Abeokuta and District Society has inaugurated Alhaji Wasiu Babatunde Junaid, FCA, as its 19th Chairman.

Alhaji Junaid was inaugurated at a low-key event held on Wednesday 31st May, 2023, at the District Secretariat along Presidential Boulevard, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The newly inaugurated Chairman and other members of the new executive committee are expected to pilot the affairs of the Institute for the next one year.

Shortly after his inauguration, the new Chairman eulogized his predecessors for their professionalism in building a viable district.

He also promised to continue in advocating and enhancing accountability and transparency amongst members.

Alhaji Junaid, however called on members to support the new administration, assuring them that the interest of the district would be placed above personal interest, and promised to justify the confidence reposed in him and members of his Exco.

Other members of the Executive Committee are Mrs. Seun Ogunme, FCA, Vice Chairman; Mrs. Olubukola Olufemi, FCA, Deputy Vice Chairman; Prince Amos Olusegun Oyebanjo, ACA, General Secretary; Mr. Olusegun Adesina, ACA, Assistant General Secretary; Mrs. Adejoke Kolawole, FCA, Treasurer and Mr. Daniel Oyalakun, ACA, Financial Secretary.

Others included Mr. Adekunle Adefisoye, FCA, Technical Secretary; Mrs. Folasade Madariola, FCA, Social/Publicity Secretary; Mr. Akinwande Olumide, FCA, Membership Secretary; Mrs. Adenike Tonade, FCA, SWAN Chairperson; Dr. Adegboyega Afolabi, FCA, Immediate past Chairman, while the duo of Dr. Joseph Ogunwede, FCA, and Femi Ogunsanya, FCA are Ex-officio members.
