Ifo LG Boss, Hon Kikelomo Delano Presents N3.6B Budget to Legislative Council for Approval

The Executive Chairman, Ifo Local Government, Hon. Chief (Mrs.) Kikelomo Aridunnu Delano has presented the year 2023 budget proposal to the Legislative Council for scrutiny and approval.

Speaking at the elaborate and well attended event held at the Legislative Chamber of the Council, on Monday, 8th May, 2023, Hon. Delano eulogised His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR, the Executive Governor of Ogun State, for the support her administration has been enjoying. she also appreciated the cooperation and support of both the Executive and Legislative arms of the council area, as well as the entire Staff for the success of her administration since inception and solicited for their continued support in the current year.

A breakdown of the budget, tagged “Budget of Consolidation” showed the budget size of Three Billion, Six Hundred and Forty Eight Million, Five Hundred and Thirty Three Thousand, Seven Hundred and Sixty Three Naira, Thirty Six Kobo (N3,648,533,763.36), which constitutes both the expenditure and the revenue for the year, which makes the budget a balanced one.

While presenting the Budget to Hon Olanrewaju Adeleye, the Leader of the Legislative Council; the Council Chairman, Hon Delano, pleaded for the speedy consideration and passage of the budget proposal to ensure that the dividends of democracy gets to the grassroot.

The Leader of the Legislative council, Hon. Olanrewaju Adeleye in his speech congratulated the council chairman for her modest and tremendous achievements recorded so far.

He then, assured that the proposed budget will be studied and given accelerated hearing and passage. He also promised the support of all the councillors in ensuring the success of the present administration.

Dignitaries at the event included the Vice Chairman, Hon. Oladapo Adebesin; the Secretary to Local Government, Hon. Kusimo Idris; Supervisors, Special Advisers, Consultants as well as the Head of Local Government Administration, Mr. Akinyemi Adeyanju; Directors and Head of various Departments in the Local Government.

Other attendees included the member representing Ifo Constituency II in the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Ganiyu Oyedeji; Alh. Musbaudeen Adebesin, member of the Governor Advisory Council; Alh. Nurudeen Matanmi, former Vice Chairman and Mr. Tunde Balogun, Party Secretary of APC in Ifo local government amongst many other dignitaries.
