Ifo LG Chairman, Delano, Commiserates with victims of Matogun, Olambe, Oke-Aro inferno

The Executive Chairman, Ifo Local Government, Hon. Chief (Mrs.) Kikelomo Aridunnu Delano, has commiserated with the victims of an early morning inferno caused by a fallen truck, laden with 33,000 liters of premium motor spirit (PMS), popularly known as petrol in the early hours of Saturday 3rd September 2022 at Matogbun/Olambe, Oke-Aro area of the Council.

The Council boss, who described the incident as unfortunate, expressed her heartfelt sympathy to the people in the area, concerning those who lost their properties and means of livelihood to the fire outbreak.

Hon. Delano who was full of gratitude to God that no life was lost in the incident warned motorists to always be careful when driving and enjoined them to always observe all road signs and measures to ensure safe motoring.

The Chairman, however, thanked all the Security Agencies for their prompt response while specially thanking the Ogun State Fire Service for their effort in curtailing further spread of the fire.

Hon. Delano as well expressed her gratefulness to His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR, the Ogun State Governor, for the reconstruction work currently on-going in Ijoko/ Alagbole/ Olambe/ Akute/ Berger Road which will avert such occurrences in the future.

 

She added that this will also make vehicular movement in and out of the axis more convenient, while acknowledging the show of love by Hon. Akinjide Adebayo, the Governor Liaison Officer and Hon. Ibrahim Ayokunle Isiaka (MFHR) who sent one of his aides, Chief Mrs. Cecilia Jolaade to the point of the explosion to identify with the victims amongst many others.

She, therefore, prayed that, such an occurrence will not happen again.
