Ifo Lg Health Authority Holds Inaugural Management Committee Meeting As Delano Reaffirms Commitment To Quality Health Care Delivery

The Executive Chairman, Ifo Local Government, Hon. Chief (Mrs.) Kikelomo Aridunnu Delano has reaffirmed her commitment to quality health care delivery in the Council Area.

Delano stated this on Monday, 8th April, 2024, during the inaugural meeting held with the members of Ifo Local Government Health Authority led by Dr. Olalekan Oke, the Authority’s Health Secretary at her office in the Council’s Secretariat.

The Council Boss, who also doubles as the Chairman of the Health Authority in the Local Government Area appreciated the Executive Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, for implementing the PHC under one roof (PHCU1R), which translates into the PHC Department being elevated to Health Authority. And by extension, setting up the Primary Health Care Authority in all the 20 Local Government Areas of the State.

She said, “No doubt this new development will give room for adequate discharge of quality health care services by members of staff to the grassroots people.”

She, thereafter, promised prompt attention to the needs of the Authority. She equally urged them not to hesitate in bringing to her attention, whatever they needed.

The Health Secretary, Ifo Local Government, Dr. Olalekan Oke expressed his appreciation to the Council Boss for being the first Local Government Chairman in the state to hold such a meeting.

He said even though the Health Board has been in existence since 2008, he can not but give kudos to the Federal Government through the National Health Care Primary Agency (NPHCDA) for the initiative.
