IJEBU EAST LG:HON ADETUTU OYESANYA PRESENTS YEAR 2024 BUDGET TO COUNCIL’S LEGISLATIVE HOUSE

The Chairman Ijebu East Local Government Hon Adetutu Elizabeth Oyesanya has assured the people of the local government of her administration’s determination to work harder and ensure concerted efforts aimed at bringing life touching dividends of democracy to the people
The council chairman made the assurance during the presentation of year 2024 budget to the legislative house held at the legislative chamber, local government secretariat, Ogbere recently.
Hon Adetutu Oyesanya, said the budget 2024 presented reflect the desire to rebuild the trust of the people in government and to show commitment for a better Ijebu East local government. She said further that the proposed budget has several assumptions and factors that were considered to achieve a realistic budget for the year 2024.
The budget tagged BUDGET OF NEW ERA OF DEVELOPMENT according to the council chairman, was designed in such a way that the council will witness a new era of progress and development; For the success of the budget as a financial discipline document, the administration will follow all due process, maintain transparency and accountability in the management of the resources.
The budget of New Era of Development with a budget size of Total revenue receipt of 3,008,890.000.00 and total expenditure of 3,008,890,000.00 thereby bringing about balance budget, and as we look forward to fruitful execution of Year 2024 budget it is imperative to continue to maintain the peaceful coexistence, this is our strength to get desired results.
In his acceptance speech, the leader of the Legislative council, Hon Fasheyi Akindele applauded the executive Chairman for making frantic efforts to present the appropriation bill of the administration to the house despite the recent daunting challenges, this further prove the readiness of the executive arm to work with the honourable members to take the local government to higher pedestal.
The leader further assured the people that, there will be speedy passage of the appropriation bill by doing the needful where necessary in line with the international public sector accounting standards (IPSAS) procedure this will make the local government become the best among equals.
Hon Fasheyi Akindele appealed to the good people of Ijebu East local government to be patient with this administration, in order to enjoy the dividends of democracy adding that all stakeholders must contribute their quota to the development as good governance demand collective responsibilities.
The event was witnessed by the Supervisors, Advisers, Consultants to the local government; Head of local government administration, directors and heads of departments.
