IJEBU EAST LOCAL GOVERNMENT HOSTS COMMUNITY HEALTH PRACTITIONERS

Community health practitioners have been commended for upholding in high esteem their responsibilities in the rural health care headings and also their relevance in the medical and health assignments

Making the commendation was the executive chairman Ijebu East local government, Hon. Adetutu Elizabeth Oyesanya, when she hosted the National Association of Community Health Practitioners Ogun State Chapter in the council’s conference room, Ogbere, recently

The chairman who thanked the community health practitioner for their efforts at the rural areas, said, where there is no doctor there must be community health practitioner, thereby they are directly complimenting the roles of other health workers in the primary health care chain at the grassroots.

She decried competition and or compromise within their members, this she said will hamper the importance and selfless service at the rural health care level.

Speaking earlier, the chairman National Association of Community Health Practitioners Ogun state chapter, Com. Sunmola Moruf Adewale and the secretary Com. Adeniji Adekunle showered appreciations to the Chairman as one of them. They both pledge to do more to compliment her plans for the health workers.

They also expressed their appreciation for the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun CON, for employing more health workers to fill vacancies in the various health facilities in Ogun State.

Present at the event were; the secretary to the Local Government Hon Sina Ipaye; supervisors, consultants and advisers.
