Ijebu-Ode LG Chairman, Babatunde Gazal Distributes Relief Materials to Rainstorm Disaster Victims

The Executive Chairman, Ijebu ode Local Government, Hon. (Alhaji) Emilola Babatunde Gazal, has distributed relief materials to the victims of rainstorm disaster in the Council Area on  Monday, 11th April, 2022 at the Main Secretariat. Itoro, Ijebu-ode.

Hon Gazal advised the indigents to abstain from dumping their waste and refuses into the drainage systems provided for ease passage of erosion.

He, further, admonished the people to make use of the dumping sites provided by the State Government and ensure that their refuses are well disposed, because there are law enforcement agencies that had been designated to enforce sanitation laws at different locations.

The Director, Water Supply and Environmental Sanitation, Mrs. Kehinde Akinsola also hinged on proper disposal of refuses.

In her own address, she explained that, it’s when people abide by disposing their wastes appropriately, then the over flooding of erosion could be controlled.

The relief materials were later distributed to the victims of the rainstorm disaster, who are present at the event.

Princess Abiola Agbona, on behalf of other beneficiaries, in her vote of thanks appreciated the Executive Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun and Alhaji Babatunde Gazal for their timely support and prayed that, may the Almighty God bless the duo.

The distributions exercise were witnessed by the Leader of the Legislative Council, Hon Adesola Ogundare; Director, General Services and Administration, Mr Oluseye Soyoye and Mrs Adelaja amongst other dignitaries.
