
IKENNE LG: Ogunleye Flags Off the Distribution of Subsidy Palliatives

It was a joyous moment in the local Government area as the Executive Chairman, Ikenne Local Government, Hon. Olusegun Ogunleye flagged off the distribution of fuel subsidy palliatives to the vulnerable people in the communities which was held at the local Government secretariat on Thursday, 28th September, 2023.
The Council Boss appreciated the amiable President, His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, for the Provision of palliatives to alleviate the impact of the fuel subsidy removal through the State Government led by His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, Governor of Ogun State, for fulfilling his promises in distributing the palliatives across the 20 Local Governments in the state.
He also appreciated the Governor of Ogun state, His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR, CON for taking the welfare of the people into consideration by enabling them to enjoy dividends of democracy at the grassroots level.
Ogunleye, implored the residents of Ikenne Local Government area to exercise more patient and support the present government in power, to enable them to solve the economic crises going on in the country, in which distribution of palliatives is part of the measures.
He explained that, the palliatives is meant for the vulnerable, widows, the aged people and less privileged in the community.
Hon. Ogunleye disclosed that, this is just a flag off ceremony, the distribution of palliatives continues in all the communities within the local Government area, without any political party interest in the distribution.
The Chairman then officially launched the distribution by presenting the vulnerable people with medium sized Bag of Rice.
His Royal Highness, Oba Adeyinka Onakade, the Alakene of Ikenne thanked His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR, CON, for providing solutions to the suffering of the people and putting smiles in their faces and also applaud the Local Government Chairman for the palliatives giving to ease the economic crisis in the State and also accommodating first, the physically challenged people from the numerous qualified residents.
Mrs Olusanya Maria, one of the beneficiaries, with joyful heart appreciated the Governor and the Council Chairman for bringing happiness into their faces.
Present at the event; the Vice Chairman, Hon. Mrs Bolanle Fakoya; Secretary to the Local Government, Mr Rotimi Osinowo; Retired Head of service Ogun State and member of the State Committee, AIhaja Selimot Ottun.
Others are: the Olofin of Ilishan, Oba Sonuga Olufemi Michael Mojeed; the Onimeji of Imeji Iperu-Remo, Oba Babatunde Kayode Olayebo Oremule-Soda who represented the Alaperu of Iperu; the Alagbehinsa of Agbehinsa Iperu-Remo, Oba Oluwafemi Isiaka; Mr Wasiu Okulaja, the Youth representative from Ilisan Remo; CDA/CDC representative Ogere, AIhaji Sikiru Shoda; The Chief Immam of Irolu, AIhaji Aliyu Bello; The Chairman Christian Association of Nigeria, Iperu Area, Evangelist Ola Vincent; all the Baale’s and Iyaloja of Ikenne Local Government were present and many others.
