
IMEKO-AFON LG: Hon. Theophilus Olorode Assumes Office, Promised Better Life For Staffers and Good People of the Area

The newly elected Executive Chairman of Imeko Afon Local Government, Hon. Theophilus Aremu Olorode, who was, inaugurated by the Executive Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, has assumed office yesterday, amidst pomp and pageantry.
In his inaugural speech, Hon. Theophilus Olorode, appreciated and thanked God for His Faithfulness in making the day a reality. He also thanked, the governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, for his exemplary leadership in steering the affairs of Ogun State and by extension the successful conduct of the Local government election.
The chairman expressed his appreciation to the Head Of Local Government Administration, Alhaja Sekoni for her warm welcome and for holding forth the administration of the Council.
He then promised total welfare package for members of staff, more socio-economic development for the entire good people of the Council area and as well seek for more dedication from all and sundry, so that his dreams and aspirations for the Local Government will be effectively achieved.
Speaking further, Hon. Olorode charged the Head of Local Government Administration, Alhaja Sekoni, to actively visit the archives to research and apply the methods and principles which led to the amazing successes the Local Government recorded many years back.
In a bid to meet the staffers and have a first-hand observation of the state of their working conditions, Hon. Olorode took a familiarization walk to all offices within the Local Government and also visited the Staff Quarters.
Earlier on, the Holga, Alhaja Adebimpe Sekoni, in her welcome Address, at the maiden management meeting with the Chairman, expressed gratitude to God and congratulated the Executive Chairman for his landslide victory at the polls.
She expressed hope that, this new administration will promote peace, progress and ultimate greater heights in the Local Government. She also pledged unwavering support for the good vision of the Chairman on behalf of the management and staff of the Local Government.
Alhaja Sekoni thereafter, signed the hardcopy of the handover note, signalling the official handing over of the affairs of the Local Government to the Chairman, Hon Olorode, who in turn, received and performed his first official assignment by appending his signature.
Recalled that on Monday 18th November 2024, the Ogun State Governor, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, Sworn-in all 20 Local Government Chairmen and Vice Chairmen who emerged winners at the Local Government polls held on 16th of November and charged each Chairman on ensuring that the glory of the Local Government be restored. The Governor also gave them assurance that the State Government will be readily available to render supports as may be required in the implementation of their programs.
