IPOKIA LG: ONIKOYI CELEBRATES 100 DAYS IN OFFICE IN GRAND STYLE, EMPOWER INDIGENTS AND REWARD COMMITTED STAFFS

Ipokia Local Government Council Chief, Hon Agbetokun Olawale Wasiu A.K.A Onikoyi has disclosed that his Administration has been on her toes in the past one hundred (100) days, meeting the yearnings of the people in the Council Area.
Onikoyi made this disclosure while delivering his keynote address during the celebration of his 100 days in office at the Council Secretariat in Ipokia, today.
He stated that, his administration did not allow the prevailing financial constraints to thwart his government from delivering dividend of democracy to the people and determined to do more.
Reeling out his achievements during the epoch making event, Hon Agbetokun listed: boosting of Council’s internally generated revenue, Comprehensive repair of former legislative Hummer Bus, resuscitation of the Local government KOMATSU grader, renovation of Chairman’s chalet at the local government staff quarters.
Others are desilting and evacuation of drainage along Ipokia/Araromi onfo Road, Ipokia and procurement of Public address system for the local government.
In the area of empowerment, the Chairman stated that about thirty (30) people drawn from various segments of the society comprising of National Council of Women Society, Council of Baales, Zonal Community Development Associations, Physically Challenged Person’s, Widows, Party Members and indigent Primary School Pupils were taken care, including empowerment of two Political Representatives with BAJAJ Motorcycle each.
Workers that distinguished themselves in the cause of thier duties were rewarded by Hon Agbetokun, they are Mrs Iyabo Aliu as the best Area officer; Mr Hodewu kayode as most Punctual staff; Sanitarian Oladepo Simeon as the Best Officer in IGR respectively.
Hunjo Aminat, a Pupil of Community Primary School, Iwuku iseje in Ipokia bagged a scholarship award during the celebration.
Hon Agbetokun said that the need to award the Pupil scholarship cannot be overemphasized, Because her brilliance is amazing, he stressed.
While thanking the State Governor, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun (MFR) for the support and enabling environment in governance, Onikoyi also expressed gratitude to other Council Political functionaries and Career Officers for their support and cooperation.
The high point of the event is launching of the Ipokia Local Government Mass Transit and presentation of Public Address system to concerned Indigines of Ipokia.
The ceremony was witnessed by Legislative Council members, Political Chieftains; Head of Local Government Administration, Mr Wole Adeosun; All Heads of department and members of the General Public.
