IPOKIA LG:Hon. Agbetokun Continues Foundation Laying Of Classrooms At IPLG Primary School, Ayetoro-Akojaga

In order to raise the standards of Education at Ihunbo/Ilashe Ward, in Ipokia Local Government Area, the Council’s Executive Chairman, Hon. Agbetokun Olawale Wasiu ( Onikoyo) has laid foundation of a block of three Classrooms at Ipokia Local Government Primary School, Ayetoro-Akojaga on Monday, 18th December, 2023.

Speaking during the ceremony, Hon. Agbetokun assured the people of the area, that the project will be completed and Commissioned in January 2024.

He also lauded the Councilor of Ihunbo/Ilashe Ward, Hon. Olajide Peter Alao for facilitating the project.

Speaking further, Hon. Agbetokun disclosed that his administration has embarked on various projects in all the Wards in the Local Government Area.

Onikoyi commended the Youths of Ihunbo/ Ilashe Ward for supporting his administration, he then presented a cash gift of Twenty Thousand Naira to the Youth leader, Mr. Babalola Sunday.

While giving the vote of thanks, Hon. Matthew Akovonhan, two terms member of Ogun State House of Assembly, expressed gratitude to the Chairman for the project and prayed for the success of his administration. He also attributed the project as a gain from subsidy removal.

He charged parents to release their children for schooling because the importance of education cannot be over emphasised.

Dignitaries at the event are as follows: The Vice Chairman, Ipokia LG, Hon. Makanjuola Sewanu James; Secretary to the LG., Hon. Chief (Mrs) Yemi Mary Bamgboye; Supervisor for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Alhaji Bajo Safiu; Supervisor for Environmental Health and Medical Services, Hon. Obanla Rasheed; Supervisor for Works and Housing, Barr. Awodele Seyi; former Supervisor for Education and Community Development and now Senior Special Assistant to Hon. Akinlade Abiodun Isiaq, member House of Representatives, Hon.  Caleb Olateju and Hon. Adegbola Oludare Kayode, Special Adviser on Revenue Generation.

The following Career officers also graced the ceremony: The Head of Local Government Administration, Mr. Sunday Adewumi Adedamola;  Director of General Services and Administration, Mr. Akinde Bisi; Director of Education, Information and Sports, Mrs. Olumide Esther.

Others are the Director of Works and Housing who was represented by Mr. Jide Oguntona, Technical Officer and Alhaja Kadijat Adetimehin, the Council’s Treasurer.
